What You Need to Prepare Before Starting Your Cello Lessons

cello is beautifully handcrafted musical instrument. Compared with other stringed instruments such as violin or viola, it produces a warm tone. Now that you've decided to learn to play the cello, you will need to consider the following before you start your cello lessons:

1 Buy or rent a cello

Before starting the cello lesson, you'll need a source for your cello. You have the choice of buying your own or rent a cello. Some students are not very sure if they wanted to play the cello and just want to do a trial lesson to test this out. In this case, my advice would be to rent one. Usually the fine quality of the cello, which was set correctly for the best sound quality will cost about a hundred dollars to rent for a month. You will be asked to put a deposit in the value of the cello with the local shop. This deposit is fully refundable on return of the cello, cello bow and case in good condition.

If you're really sure you like the sound of the cello, you will enjoy your lessons with a cello teacher, then go ahead and buy one. Visit several reputable music dealers located in your town and try out an instrument as much as you like the cello. Most importantly, select the cello on the budget and tone quality.

2 Choose the appropriate cello bow

In addition to the cello, ask your local dealer musical instrument for the selection of appropriate bow to his musical instrument. Different cello bows produce different tone on the same musical instruments. So choose this wisely.

3 Music scores and music theory, the book

You'll have to buy a good guide book, so that your cello teacher can guide you through your first cello lesson. Suzuki cello book (volume 1) is a very good choice to start with, because it covers the basics such as thethe right to posturing ,how to take care of your cello , and how to read notes .

Your music instrument teacher will need to cover basic music theory with you. ABRSM series of theory books are the best choice in that aspect.

4 Buy a music stand

Some students neglect taking music stand as they feel it does not matter. In fact, the music stand is important because it ensures that your posture is correct when playing on his cello. music stand props your scores and books, and practice on a musical instrument. There are many brands of music available. Choose one based on the budget you have.

above form the basic starter kit before you start music lessons. Once you have purchased, go ahead and enjoy cello lessons!
